Beglyar Mosque

The Beglyar Mosque is a historical monument located in the old part of Baku, in the historical district of Icheri Sheher, opposite the Murad Gate of the Shirvanshahs' Palace. This mosque was built in 1895 on the site of an older structure. According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the preservation of historical and cultural monuments, the Beglyar Mosque is recognized as a "monument of history and culture of national significance." This place holds great historical and cultural importance for the people of Azerbaijan.
