Hanega Fortress on the Pirsaqat River

"Hanega on the Pirsaqat River" is a historical fortification that was built to protect the tombs of Pir-Huseyn and Pir-Hanega. It is located on the steep bank of the Pirsaqat River, on the ancient trade route from Shamakhi to Iran and other countries of the Middle East. This place is also known as a place of pilgrimage and prayer for Muslims. Hanega is located near the village of Gubaly in Baloglan, Hajigabul District of Azerbaijan. The entrance to the mosque on the territory of the fortification passed through a room that was previously part of its eastern wall.
