Monument "Mourning Highlander"

The "Mourning Highlander" monument was erected in 1967 in honor of those who died during the Great Patriotic War. During this war, the settlement of Kyondelen in the Elbrus region was occupied by fascist troops in October 1942, but was liberated by Soviet troops in early 1943. The monument was erected in memory of the local residents who died during the war, in order to preserve and pass on their history to future generations.
