Mren Cathedral

Mren Cathedral, also known as Mreni Matsar (Մրենի մայր տաճար), is an ancient Armenian temple located in Western Armenia, near the village of Tekor (modern name - Digor) in the territory of modern Turkey, in the Kars region, Digor district. The cathedral was built in the 11th century and is one of the most significant monuments of Armenian architecture. It is located on the site of the ancient city of Karabagh, near the Armenian-Turkish border, close to the Akhuryan River. The cathedral is a popular pilgrimage site for Armenians and tourists, attracting with its unique architecture and historical significance.
