Shuttle OK-ML1

A full-scale mock-up of the "Buran" orbital spacecraft was used for size and weight tests. It was delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in December 1983.

After the work was completed, the mock-up remained at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, on an open site for firing tests near the assembly and testing building (site No. 254). In January 2007, after incidents of vandalism, OK-ML1 was moved to open site No. 2 using a transport unit and placed in a guarded parking lot near the Cosmodrome Museum. The mock-up was designed as a "Buran" flying into space.
