Alanhay Structure

Alay Khan is a historical caravanserai that was built in the 13th century during the Anatolian Seljuk era. It is located 34 kilometers from the city of Aksaray on a sloping terrain and covers an area of approximately 2 thousand square meters. This caravanserai was the first of its kind in Anatolia and was built by Kilicarslan. Currently, it is used as a tourist attraction, drawing many visitors. In ancient times, this place was known as Propeller Ribat during the Seljuk period, but was later renamed Alay Khan, possibly due to a nearby village with the same name.
