Bani Yas Monastery

The Church of the Eastern Monastery on Sir Bani Yas is a historical site in the United Arab Emirates that was opened to visitors in 1992. This place holds great significance as evidence of Christianity's presence in the region before the advent of Islam. The Nestorian Christian community that existed here continued to exist for at least a century after the spread of Islam.
