Democracy Park

Maçka Democracy Park is a unique recreational area in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. Here you will find not only paths for running and walking, but also special areas for dog walking and children's play. In addition, the park is equipped with relaxation areas, cozy benches, and decorative pools, creating an atmosphere of coziness and comfort.

The history of this park dates back to the 19th century when it was part of the Dolmabahçe gardens. At that time, it was separated from other gardens and turned into a park area. The name "Maçka Park" was given in honor of the residents of the Black Sea region who were resettled in Constantinople after the region was conquered by Mehmed II in 1461.

Since then, the park has undergone many changes and reconstructions. In 1993, it was renovated and renamed Maçka Democracy Park to reflect its significance as a place where everyone can enjoy freedom and democracy.
