Khoromos Monastery

Khoromos (Հոռոմոս) is an ancient Armenian monastic complex, also known as Khoromosivank, Goshavank, Khochavank, or Khosha Vank. It is located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of the ruins of Ani, the ancient capital of Bagratid Armenia, in the territory of modern-day eastern Turkey. The complex includes churches, chapels, and tombs, making it one of the most important spiritual and cultural centers of medieval Armenia. Khoromos is also considered one of the largest monasteries in the entire Christian East.
