Peter's Fortress. Petra (Greek: Πέτρα) is an ancient Byzantine fortress, whose ruins are well-preserved and located in the village of Tsikhisdziri in the Kobuleti Municipality. There is another point of view, according to which Petra was located in the territory of modern Turkey, near the port of Hopa. However, the data of Procopius of Caesarea contradicts this statement.
