Silifke Castle

Silifke Castle, also known as Silifke Kalesi, is a medieval castle located in the picturesque district of Silifke in Mersin Province, Turkey. The castle is situated west of Silifke's city center, south of the Göksu River (known as the ancient Calydnus), and north of the Turkish state highway D.715. Despite its modest elevation of 160 meters above sea level, the fortress commands the Silifke plains and the southern part of the Göksu Valley, creating an impressive sight and a captivating atmosphere.
