Tegher Monastery. Tegher Monastery (Տեղերի վանք) is an ancient Armenian monastic complex on the southeastern slope of Mount Aragats in Aragatsotn Province. Founded in the 13th century, it consists of the domed Church of the Holy Mother of God, built in 1213, and a gavit added in 1221. The complex was designed by the architect Aghbayrik. From the monastery grounds, visitors can see the ROT-54/2.6 radio-optical telescope a few hundred metres away.
