Tserakvi Monastery

Tserakvi (Georgian: წერაქვი) is an ancient monastery complex built in the 12th-13th centuries in Georgia. This monument of medieval Georgian architecture is located in the Marneuli district of the Kvemo Kartli province, on the bank of the Shulaveri River, near the village of Tserakvi. The monastery complex includes not only the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God (12th-13th centuries), a bell tower, and the Church of St. George (late medieval period), but also a wine cellar and other structures.
