Zhabo-Kala Fortress

The castle of the Zhaboev family, built in the 12th-13th centuries, is a unique architectural structure for the republic. This castle was repeatedly expanded and modernized throughout its history. According to assumptions, starting from the 15th century, it was abandoned and destroyed, which gives it a mysterious history. Its second name, "Cannibal's Castle," is associated with the legends and myths surrounding this place. The castle is located at an altitude of 150 meters and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Khulamo-Bezengi Gorge, making it attractive to tourists and history researchers.
