Armenian Catholic Cemetery

The Şişli Necropolis, covering an area of 50,000 square meters, was allocated by the state in 1865 and has undergone numerous changes and additions since then. In accordance with the decree of 1893, buildings for the Administration, clergy, and guards were constructed on the cemetery grounds. It is the resting place not only for statesmen, politicians, and educators, but also for theater actors, poets, writers, lawyers, doctors, and representatives of various professions. The Şişli Cemetery is a place of remembrance and respect for distinguished individuals whose deeds have left their mark on history.
