Atazhukinsky Garden

Atazhukinsky Garden in Nalchik is one of the largest parks in the North Caucasus and dates to 1847. Its main avenue extends for almost one and a half kilometres. The park contains maple, spruce, linden, paulownia, Japanese quince and rare ginkgo trees. A cable car connects the grounds with the Sosruko restaurant on Mount Bolshaya Kizilovka. Playgrounds and amusement rides make it a popular destination for families.

On clear days, snow-covered Caucasus peaks are visible from the main avenue. Local belief says that touching the patterned bronze insert set into a stone will bring happiness and health.
