Avaskey Aqueduct

The Avaskey Aqueduct, also known as Karakemer, Tekkemer, or Snake Aqueduct, is a historical structure located in the Esenler district of Istanbul. This aqueduct was built by the architect Sinan and has 11 bays. It is single-story and 10.3 meters high. The total length of the aqueduct is 109.5 meters, and the eye opening is 4.5 meters, although it averages 6 meters. Solid limestone was used for its construction.
