Surp Yeiga Church. Surp-Yeiga Church, also known as Surp Eia Church, is an ancient Armenian sanctuary located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, Turkey. The history of this church spans over three centuries: it was built in the 17th century, destroyed in 1766, and then restored in 1800. In 1832, the church was completely rebuilt, and in 1851, it underwent repairs.
