Surp Yeiga Church

Surp-Yeiga Church, also known as Surp Eia Church, is an ancient Armenian sanctuary located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, Turkey. The history of this church spans over three centuries: it was built in the 17th century, destroyed in 1766, and then restored in 1800. In 1832, the church was completely rebuilt, and in 1851, it underwent repairs. The church's last major renovation took place in 2000 under the leadership of Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople John II. Today, the church is open for worship and receives parishioners under the guidance of Father Mesrob.
