Big Almaty Canal

The canal is located in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the Almaty region and the city of Almaty, and flows in the Ili River basin. Water from the canal is used for irrigation of agricultural lands, as well as for the needs of large industrial enterprises, small farms, and for recreational purposes.
