Central Covered Market. Yerevan’s Central Covered Market stands on Mesrop Mashtots Avenue near the Blue Mosque. Built in 1952, it is one of architect Grigor Aghababyan’s best-known works. Following reconstruction in the early 2010s, it became part of a larger shopping complex.
