Hovhannes Tumanyan Puppet Theatre. The Hovhannes Tumanyan State Puppet Theatre of Yerevan was founded in 1935 and is one of Armenia’s largest puppet theatres. It is located at 4 Sayat-Nova Avenue and bears the name of the Armenian poet, writer and public figure Hovhannes Tumanyan. The theatre presents productions for children and adults and is led by artistic director Ruben Babayan.
