Tumanyan Park. Hovhannes Tumanyan Park occupies seven hectares in Yerevan’s Ajapnyak District within the Hrazdan River gorge. It is bounded by Alabyan Street, the Great Hrazdan Bridge, the river and the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, which is why it is often called Tumo Park. The park opened in 1970 for the centenary of Tumanyan’s birth. Statues of Anush and Saro, characters from his poem Anush, were installed in 1973, followed by a statue of Loretsi Sako in 1986.
