Church of Saint Stephen

"Saint Stephen" (Greek: Ἱερός ναόςγγίου Στεφάνου; Turkish: Ayastefanos) is an Orthodox church located in San Stefano (Turkish Yeşilköy), which is a suburb of Istanbul in Turkey. This temple is the parish church of the Metropolis of Derkos of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Saint Stephen is a place where believers gather for prayer and worship, as well as for religious rites and ceremonies. The magnificent architecture and ancient icons make this church one of the most important religious buildings in the region.
