Ataturk Seaside Pavilion in Florya

The historic mansion where our ancestor spent his last years was used by him as a place for rest and important meetings. This summer mansion, which is just a few minutes' walk from the Florya Marmaray station, was designed specifically for Atatürk by the Istanbul Municipality in 1935 by architect Seyfi Arkan.

Atatürk himself personally chose this place for the construction of the mansion. After him, presidents used it as a summer holiday home, and the last of them, President Kenan Evren, stopped using the mansion as a residence after 1988, turning it into a museum. Since 1993, the mansion has been open to visitors as a museum where you can learn more about the history of this unique place.
