Ghuki Vank Monastery. Ghuki Vank is an Armenian Apostolic monastery a few kilometres northwest of the village of Arzakan in Kotayk Province. It occupies the upper part of a gorge between two mountains and is surrounded by dense forest. The name Ghuk is linked to dialects of the Ararat and Shirak regions and means “sheepfold.” The site has a long history and considerable cultural importance for Armenians.
