Bjni Fortress

Bjni Fortress is a medieval Armenian stronghold in the village of Bjni, Kotayk Province. It crowns the rocky ridge that divides the village, giving the site a naturally defensive appearance. The walls are visible mainly from the western side, and access is by a narrow dirt road passing through scenic terrain and residential areas. At 1,504 metres above sea level, the fortress occupies one of the highest points in the vicinity.
