Greek Orthodox Orphanage

The Greek Orphanage of Prinkipo, also known as the Prinkipo Palace or the Buyukada Greek Orphanage, is a historic 20,000-square-meter building on the island of Buyukada, located off the coast of Istanbul in the Sea of Marmara. This building is considered the largest wooden building in Europe and the second largest in the world. From 1903 to 1964, it housed an orphanage that provided shelter and care for orphans and children without parents.
