Haseki Hürrem Sultan Hamam. The Baths of Hagia Sophia Hürrem Sultan, also known as Ayasofya Hürrem Sultan Hamamı or Haseki Hürrem Sultan, is a 16th-century historic hammam in Istanbul, Turkey. This magnificent hammam was commissioned by Hürrem Sultan, also known as Roxelana, the wife of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The hammam was designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan on the site of the ancient Baths of Zeuxippus to serve the needs of the religious community living near the famous Hagia Sophia.
