History Museum of Armenia

The History Museum of Armenia is the country’s principal historical museum. It stands on Republic Square in Yerevan and occupies the lower two floors of the building at 4 Republic Square. The museum was founded by decree of the parliament of the First Republic of Armenia together with the National Gallery of Armenia. It opened to the public on 20 August 1921 and has since become one of the nation’s leading cultural institutions, presenting Armenia’s rich history and heritage.
