Imamzadeh Mausoleum

The Imamzadeh Mausoleum in Nakhchivan is located on the bank of the Aras River and is one of many architectural monuments of Azerbaijan, built in the 17th-18th century style during the Safavid era. The complex includes not only the mausoleum but also the oldest burial vaults and mosques, making it special. The mausoleum is a square structure with a dome and towers, which are the central element of the complex. According to the inscription at the entrance, the construction of the mausoleum began in 1722 and was completed in 1732, highlighting its historical value and significance for the region's cultural heritage.
