Tomb of Yusuf ibn Kuseyir

The Mausoleum of Yusuf ibn Kuseyir, also known as the Atababa Mausoleum, was built in 1161-1162 in the city of Nakhchivan. This medieval mausoleum was created by an architect named Ajami ibn Abubakr Nakhchivani. The structure is octagonal in shape and made of well-fired brick. The upper part of the mausoleum is decorated with a pyramidal tent and a wide frieze band with a Kufic inscription from the Quran. This mausoleum is an important historical monument and attracts many tourists and researchers from different countries.
