Juma Mosque

The Juma Mosque in Shamakhi is one of the oldest and most significant religious structures not only in Azerbaijan but also throughout the Caucasus and the Middle East. It was founded in 743 by the great ruler Abu Muslim, as indicated by an inscription on the mosque wall discovered over a hundred years ago. This place is not only a place of prayer for Muslims but also a historical monument that attracts tourists and researchers from all over the world.
