Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. The Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, also known as Demirchyan Arena, the Sports and Music Complex or Hamalir, is one of Yerevan’s largest event venues. It stands on Tsitsernakaberd hill in the western part of the city near the Hrazdan River gorge. The complex contains two large halls, one for concerts and one for sports, and hosts concerts, competitions, exhibitions, conferences and many other events.
