Museum of Islamic Civilization

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization) is a unique institution in Sharjah, UAE, which was opened in 2008. It is an important cultural center dedicated to Islamic culture and history. The museum houses over 5,000 exhibits, including calligraphy, wood carvings, ceramics, coins, glass, manuscripts, metalwork, and scientific instruments. Previously known as the Islamic Museum, it was opened in 1996 and then moved to its current building, where it continues to attract visitors from all over the world with its unique collections of art and artifacts of Islamic civilization.
