Ruins of the lost city of Batonea

One of Istanbul's hidden treasures is an ancient pharmaceutical warehouse and medical center used by the Hittites. Research has shown that surgeries and anesthesia were performed here hundreds of years ago. Medicines for heart disease and depression, preserved for over 1500 years, were found in their pharmacies. This place is also where the first waterways in Istanbul and various painkillers were discovered.
