Ancient City of Kanlidivane

Kanlidivane, also known as ancient Kanitelis, was an ancient city located around a huge sinkhole in the province of Mersin, Turkey. The city is located in the countryside of the Erdemli district, which is part of the Mersin province. Its coordinates are 36.52556; 34.17917. The distance to Erdemli is 18 km (11 miles), and to Mersin is 55 km (34 miles). The city's altitude is approximately 230 m (750 ft). Kanlidivane is located near the town of Kumkuyu on the coast and just a few hundred meters from the rock tombs of Çanakçı. The city has a rich history and archaeological finds that testify to its significance in antiquity.
