Dilijan Local History Museum

The Dilijan Regional Museum and Art Gallery is a distinctive institution founded in 1950 by the respected teacher and researcher Yeghishe Hovsepyan. It functions both as a local history museum and as an art gallery containing works from different periods and artistic traditions.

Visitors can explore the history of Dilijan, learn about the life and customs of its residents, and discover the region’s cultural monuments and historic landmarks. The museum also organises excursions through the surrounding area, introducing guests to its geography and natural attractions.

The art gallery, established in 1958, holds a notable collection of works by Armenian and foreign artists. Its displays include painting, sculpture, graphic art and other media reflecting the diversity and richness of world art. Together, the museum and gallery offer an engaging introduction to the culture of Dilijan.
