Haghartsin Monastery

Haghartsin (Armenian: Հաղարծին) is an ancient Armenian monastery in Tavush Province, about 18 kilometres from Dilijan, in a forested valley of the Ijevan Range. The complex was built between the 11th and 13th centuries.

Its oldest structure is the 11th-century Church of Surb Grigor, distinguished by an octagonal drum. The church’s long history and characteristic architecture attract many tourists and pilgrims.
