Museum of Folk Art

The Museum of Folk Art in Dilijan is a branch of the State Museum of Folk Art of Armenia. It was founded in 1979 through the efforts of folklorist and artist Hovhannes Sharambeyan. Located in the heart of the city beside the picturesque Aghstev River, the museum occupies a building that once belonged to Sharambeyan. His collection of folk art was donated to the museum and became the foundation of its exhibition. Today visitors can see distinctive objects representing the region’s rich cultural heritage.
