Geyazan Fortress

Geyazan is an ancient Armenian fortress located on the slopes of Mount Geyazan, just 15 km west of the city of Qazakh (modern Azerbaijan). It is also located just 1 km northwest of the village of Abbasbeyli and 1.5 km from the Voskepar River. Today, the remains of the fortress walls and a small settlement within the fortress can be seen. The fortress was built at an altitude of 400 meters on the northeastern part of the mountain, giving it an advantage in surveying the surrounding landscape.
