Ghalinjagar Fortress

Berdavan, also known as Ghalinjagar, is an ancient fortress in northeastern Armenia near Noyemberyan in Tavush Province. Standing on a small hill beside the village of Berdavan, it was built in the 11th century. The fortress was damaged and restored several times and was also used during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. Much of its original architecture survives.
