Monument to the Book. The Monument to the Book was installed near the Khnko Aper National Children’s Library in 2013 as a symbol of reading and education. The composition consists of 18 books and a lampshade representing the light of knowledge. The monument, also associated with the figure of the Reader, was unveiled on 20 April 2013 to commemorate Yerevan’s designation as World Book Capital in 2012.
