Iskra Cinema

The "Iskra" cinema in Alma-Ata was opened in 1973 and has since become one of the most popular cinemas in Kazakhstan. After a complete reconstruction in 2020, it became the country's first next-generation cinema. It now has two cinema halls, each with 330 seats, where you can enjoy watching feature films.

In 1981, the cinema was visited by 550,000 viewers, which emphasizes its popularity among film enthusiasts. After the reconstruction, the cinema was equipped with a high-quality Ernemann film projector from Germany and a Dolby Digital sound system from Dolby Lab in the USA. Now, viewers can enjoy high-quality sound and image while watching films at the "Iskra" cinema.
