Istanbul Naval Museum. The Istanbul Naval Museum (Turkish: İstanbul Deniz Müzesi) is Turkey's largest museum dedicated to naval themes. It is located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, near the Beşiktaş ferry terminal on the Kadıköy line. The museum was founded in 1897 by the Ottoman Empire's Minister of the Navy, Bozcaadalı Hasan Hüsnü Pasha, and is the first of its kind in Turkey.
