Surp Asdvadzadzin Church. The Armenian Church of Besiktas is a historic building in Turkey, built in 1838 by Armenian architect Garabed Amira Balyan. Located in the Besiktas district of Istanbul, this church is one of the symbols of Armenian heritage in the region. In 1987, the church was renovated by the Patriarch of Armenia I., and in 1993, busts of Garabed and Sarkis Balyan were installed in its courtyard.
