Mausoleum of Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha

The tomb of Hayreddin Barbarossa, also known as Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Türbesi, is the burial place of the famous Ottoman fleet admiral. His naval victories were key to strengthening Ottoman influence in the Mediterranean Sea in the 16th century. The mausoleum was built in 1541 according to the design of the outstanding Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan and still amazes with its beauty and grandeur.
