Jebel Faya Mountain Peak

At the archaeological excavations at Jebel Faya, located in the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE, researchers discovered tools associated with various historical periods, from the Paleolithic to the Bronze Age. This limestone hill, situated between the gulf and the mountains, is the site where the oldest settlement of anatomically modern humans outside of Africa was found, dating back over 125,000 years. This discovery, made in 2011, is of immense significance for the study of human history.
