Tomb of Maleha Archaeological Museum

This visitor and exhibition centre in the village of Mleiha in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is dedicated to the history and archaeology of the area. It is built around an ancient Umm Al Nar tomb and recounts the excavations and discoveries made over the last 40 years in Mleiha and neighbouring areas such as Al Tukeiba, Jebel Faya, Al Madu and Jebel Buhais. Special attention is given to an important find in North-East Faya which proves the presence of 'anatomically modern humans' in the Mleiha area between 130,000 and 120,000 years ago.
