Khorhor Fountain

The Khorhor Fountain, also known as the Khorhor Ağa Fountain, is a historical monument located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. There are several theories about its origin, with some claiming it was built during the time of Solomon, while others believe it dates back to an earlier period. An inscription on the fountain, restored during repairs in 1876, attests to its age. Until 1966, a wooden house stood atop the fountain, from which water flowed. However, in 2008, the house was demolished, and the fountain now stands as a unique architectural structure, attracting tourists and history enthusiasts.
