Ahmedie Mosque

The Ahmedie Mosque was built during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent by his son-in-law Maktul Ibrahim Pasha. Beneath the mosque lies an ancient Byzantine cellar, adding to its uniqueness and historical value. Over time, the mosque underwent several renovations and was eventually rebuilt in an octagonal style by Ahmet Effendi in 1902. These changes lent the mosque even greater grandeur and beauty, making it one of the significant architectural landmarks of the region.
